Lincoln

Do you know what to do with all those scraps of paper laying in the recycle bin?  You can do a tear art project. My supervisor came up with this idea for the older group, which wasn't that big a group. This would be the perfect craft for President's Day in February.  The focus was to do a Lincoln pose. Here's what the boys came up with.

Did you notice that one foot is forward in the above and below pictures?

This is Lincoln leaping over all his obstacles and the first three letters of last name. The "L" is backwards.

Supplies:
1. colored scraps of red, black, and white construction paper
2. glue
3. background paper

Directions:
1. tell kids to put "Lincoln" into a scene
2. tear and glue

Duration:
Only 20-30 minutes
